Weekend Update: Ski Jumps

Did anyone else snooze for 30 minutes this morning?  Whoops.
This little snuggly face this morning didn't help.  Would you want to get up and head to work?

This weekend, we headed up for Ski Jumps.  Every year up north, there is an annual Ski Jump competition.  It is legit.  International jumpers come into our tiny town to compete.  And we all stand around in the cold and watch them.  It is actually a lot more fun than it sounds.  I promise!  It's like a giant winter tailgating party.  And everyone comes into town for it so it is a giant lake reunion.  In the winter.  When the lake is frozen.

This year the sun was shining and it was a balmy 15 degrees out.  For those of you living through this midwestern winter, you know that is about as good as it gets.  So Saturday we bundled up and headed to the hill to watch the jumping.

In case you are wondering what one wears at an event like this, here are some ideas to keep you warm and stylish.  Because everyone should be prepared for a weekend of winter tailgating!

  1. I would love to do this! We recently took a trip to Lake Tahoe, and although I didn't ski, my husband did and it was still cool to see and go!
