The Most Exhausted I Have Ever Been.

I am guessing I will eat these words once we have a child, but up until this point in my life I don't think I have ever been as exhausted as I was on Saturday.  Not even after my own wedding.  Friday the hubby and I were on our feet almost non-stop for 12+ hours.  And it was a blast!  But never have I been more exhausted.

We shot a good friend's wedding on Friday.  It was so special to not only be a part of their big day, but it was fun to be the ones capturing their big day.  And let me tell you, I have a new found respect for those who are full time wedding photographers (cough cough I mean you Katelyn!)

If I haven't mentioned it by now, (only here and here) my hubby is an amazing photographer!  We make a great team working on things like this.  I am the details person so I take care of the logistics, etc. and he takes great pictures.  I take pictures too, but my usual method is take as many as I can and Britt will use some of them and make them pretty.

On Friday, we got to watch Scott & Ashley say I Do and commit to a lifetime together.  I've known Scott for a long time.  I went to college & was roommates with his brother.  I remember back when Scott was just an annoying kid brother.  Now he is all grown up with A WIFE!  CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAZY!!!  Ashley is a total sweetheart and it has been so much fun getting to know her.   Here are just a few of some of their gorgeous wedding photos.  (And a shameless plug for Facebook likes if you want to see more!)

Thank goodness this was a Friday wedding!  It took Saturday and Sunday to feel like a human being again.  I napped Saturday afternoon and was in bed by 9:00pm.  Yup.  Rocking Saturday night.  Sunday there was some cleaning up around the house and getting ready to go back to work today.  But there was also a lot of this.

Hope you all head a great weekend!

Oh, How Pinteresting: Girl On The Go!

And what a girl on the go I have been lately!  Sheeeeeeesh.  I haven't posted in FOOOREEEVEER.

I feel like I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off!  Trust me, it has been a good summer and I'm not complaining, but it has been tough to get a firm grasp of life.  Or to get on any real schedule.  I normally don't say things like this, but I'm actually looking forward to summer wrapping up just so I can be in one place for more than a nano-second.

Fortunately, Thirty-One has just come out with a new line of Girl on The Go purses to make my go-go-go schedule a little bit easy.  (Did you like how I slipped that in???)  These purses are 50% this month (when you spend $35) and they are going like hot cakes.  And of course, there are some great colors to get you through the rest of summer and transition perfectly into fall.

And if you are seeing something you can't live without, you can order through the Outrageous August Deals party on my website For every $50 order you place, I will take $10 off ($100 would be $20 off, etc.) now through Midnight Friday August 9th. Your total will be adjusted when I close the party on the 13th.

Have a great Wednesday!

House Warming Party, Wedding Shower & A New Adventure

I should get the blogger of the year award. (please note the dripping sarcasm)  We had a house warming party on Saturday and I only took ONE picture.  One!  That is it!  What was I thinking?  On the plus side of things, it was one hell-of-a picture.

I mean, this does sum up the party in a nutshell. (The boat came from Homegoods since I've been getting lots of questions about it!)  We had friends and family float in and out most of the late afternoon.  We drank, ate, played some bags and then headed in doors to watch the Hawks beat the Kings and move on to the Stanley Cup finals!!!!!  Way to go Hawks!  (For those non-hockey followers out there, that would be the Chicago Blackhawks.)  We had a great time on Saturday and I'm so glad so many people could come check out our new pad!

It was a good thing no one looked in closets or in the basement.  I was super sick last week and the clean up for the party didn't really get started until Thursday morning.  Needless to say, A LOT of stuff got shoved in closets & tossed into the basement.  I've been spring cleaning for what feels like FOREVER, and I'm not done yet.  This week I will be grinding on it.  De-cluttered home here we come! (Fingers crossed)

Sunday was my sister-in-law's wedding shower & it was a lot of fun.  It was great to catch up with family and friends that I haven't seen in awhile.  We played some fun games, ate some great food & of course she opened all of her fabulous gifts.

That was my weekend in a nutshell.  By the time last night rolled around, I was exhausted.  It was awesome to get home, put on sweats and curl up on the couch with my hubby and watch a movie.

In other news, I am starting on a new adventure.  I am super excited to announce that I am expanding on my absolute LOVE of bags.  If you are a new follower of the blog, you may or may not be aware that I am absolutely bag FREAK NUT!  I'm a independent consultant for Thirty-One and I absolutely love being one!  I want to provide my customers a well rounded bag shopping experience, so I have signed up to be a consultant with Thirty-One's new sister company, Jewell.  It is a line of slightly higher end bags and other accessories Thirty-One does not carry.

I would love to share any and all of the bags I sell with all of you!  For more information on Jewell, you can check out my website.  I am super excited to growth both with Jewell & Thirty-One and am thrilled to be on this new adventure and would love to partner with any of my blogger buddies to promote my companies, so let me know if you are interested!

Hope you had a great weekend!  Are you starting on any new adventures?

Weekend Update: Aksel Jeffrey

This weekend was all about meeting the newest addition to "our family."  Welcome to the world Aksel Jeffrey!  Your Aunt KTB & Uncle Britt are going to spoil you rotten!

In between baby visits, we started to get ready for summer!  The Pilot lost it's towing virginity.

And the first beers of summer were consumed.  On the first boat ride.

Hope summer is reaching your neck of the woods and that you are enjoying nice weather!

Happy Birthday Britt!!!

Today is my wonderful hubby's 28th birthday!!  Every year he gets older, I feel like less of a cradle robber!  (Since I'm 2 years older.)  He is the best husband a girl could ask for.  I am so lucky that he chose me to love.  We've been together a long time and every year I love him more.  I can't imagine life without him and am so blessed to spend another year with him.

Happy Birthday baby!  I love you!

Weekend Update: A Nice Surprise

We had a really boring this weekend.  It consisted of more yardwork (yuck, multching) and cleaning up around the house.  We did go see Great Gatsby, which was fun.  I'm pretty sure no movie could ever do the book justice, but I did enjoy it.

We have this great movie theatre near us where you can order dinner and drinks while you watch the movie.  It is the second time we have been there and it makes for a really nice night out.  If you have a movie theatre like this near you and haven't been, go try!  It's pretty fun!

The only exciting thing that happened was waking up on Saturday morning to find out that I am an "auntie"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  One of my best friends & her husband give birth to a beautiful baby boy late Friday night.  We slept through the 3:30am text, and woke up to the surprise on Saturday morning.

The only bummer.  Thursday afternoon we changed our plans because she was NOT going into labor.  So instead of meeting him on Day 1, we are going to meet him on Day 8. And I just can't wait to meet little Aksel Jeffrey!!!

I am already so in love with this face.  Who wouldn't be!

So excited for my new mama friend!  What a great way to spend your first Mother's Day.  Speaking of Mother's Day, Happy belated Mother's Day to all of my Mama readers!  I hope you had a great day!  I didn't get to spend Mother's Day with my Mom, but I do get to see her in a few weeks.  Love you Mom!

I am firm believer in being a furbaby mama, so Happy belated Mother's Day to those of your with four-legged and furry babies!

Did you get any exciting news this weekend?  How was your Mother's Day?

As most of the rest of the blogging world, I have very very VERY angry at Google for taking away Google Reader.  Do you hear me Google?????  ANGRY!!!  What can I say?  I'm too polite to use the #$%^&*(  $%^&  %^& that is actually going on in my head.

So I am switching my reader to BlogLovin.  I will be adding a button to follow me there shortly, but for the moment, if you haven't check it out, I would give it a whirl!

Backyard and Party Pins

With summer rapidly approaching, I've been busy pinning away different ideas for our backyard.  Projects for the backyard, decoration ideas for the backyard and party ideas for the backyard.  Are you sensing a theme yet? Isn't Pinterest the best?

Weekend Update: Gardening & Yard Work

I've decided this homeownership stuff is for the birds.  Especially when it comes to yard work.  I have never been a huge fan of yard work.  Chalk it up to years of allergies & doing it in the hot Miami sun.  Even though I am enjoying being outside in the warm weather here, our yard was totally trashed by heavy rains we had a few weeks ago.  I shouldn't be complaining though.  We didn't flood and no water came into the house.  We are luckier than most.  (If you follow me on Instagram, (ktbreynolds) you probably saw this photo a few weeks ago.)

The back wall needed to be repaired, everything needed to be re-mulched.  (Most of it still does.)  So we had quite the weekend of working outdoors.  Fortunately the weather cooperated.

I do not have a green thumb.  But our backyard needed some color.  I am giving impatiens and petunias a whirl.  I hear they are pretty hearty flowers.  I'm hoping that means tough to kill.  Here are some of the before and afters.

And of course, what gardening would be complete without some pink/coral gardening tools.

I also spent several hours scooping leaves out of our pool.  For the record, do not forget to put your pool cover on in the fall, then forget to clean it and let it freeze over the winter.  When it thaws, all of the leaves are still there.  I promise.  And it takes a LOOOOOOONG time to get it clean.  On the plus side, it was a killer upper body and core work out.

So there you have it.  My weekend in a nutshell.  How was yours?

Photo Friday: A Maternity Photo Shoot

Every once in awhile, I feel the need to brag about what an amazing hubby I have.  He is amazing for many different reason, but today I would like to brag about his amazing photography skills (which you can further check out at Britton Reynolds Photography).  It doesn't hurt that we have some amazingly photogenic friends as well.  (Ok, I am officially moving on from the word amazing now.)

A few weeks ago, we were up north for one of my best friend's baby shower.  I was co-hosting it with a few other friends (photos to come on this so stay tuned).  While we were up there, we took advantage of the weekend to also do a maternity photo shoot .  For this Photo Friday, I wanted to share these gorgeous photos with all of you!

Happy Friday and Have a Great Weekend!!
