Weekend Update

Goodness.   We had the most expensive week/weekend we've had since we bought the house.  And I hope that we can stop spending money now!!!!  I know it wasn't over the weekend, but last week my car died.  Again.  It was the fifth time in about 13 month that it has been towed.  We finally decided enough is enough.  And broke down (ahahahahahahaha.....but seriously.  No pun intended) and bought a new car.  A Honda Pilot.   And so far I love it!  You have to understand, I've been a Jeep girl for almost 10 years.  So to get something else was.  A challenge.  But we lucked out and got a fabulous deal.  So here we are.  And so far so good!  I am starting to love it.  But there are so many buttons, it feels like a space ship!

The extra space is already coming in handy.  Although the "You Got a Mom Car so When Are You Going to be a Mom" questions have been amusing.  (The answer: NOT YET!)  Anyway, we took a trip to IKEA on Saturday and put the extra space to good use.  I LOVE the trunk space!

The boxes are still being emptied and put together, but the majority of what we bought was office furniture and a few other small odds and ends for decorating.

I'll give you a sneak peak of one piece, but you will just have to wait for the rest!

IKEA took up a good chunk of Saturday and the furniture construction took up most of Sunday.  (And is still going on.)  We did manage to sneak out an buy ourselves a new mattress.  We upgrade to a king.  (Can you hear the angel chorus singing?  HALLELUJAH!)  Maybe Buoy will stop being a bed hog now and I might actually have some room to stretch out my legs!  I can dream right?  Sunday night we got a visit from my sister-in-law and brother-in-law and our nieces.

Even though we are in NO HURRY to have kids, it is pretty fun to have two girls running around the house.  The youngest likes all things dogs right now, and after claiming one of my old stuffed animals puppies, she claimed Buoy's travel carrier.

It was a nice ending to a relatively quiet weekend.  You know you are getting old when.  Yikes.  All of these changes mean an office to decorate, an guest room to decorate and our master bedroom to decorate.  What the heck am I going to write about when our house is done?  Good thing we've spent all of our money and won't be buying anything for a long while!

Have a great week everyone!
