Oh How Pinteresting: Badger Fashion

***Ok.  So I actually started to write this post last Wednesday, and then never got a chance to finish it.  Homecoming is over, but football season is still in full swing!  So cute attire for games still applies!  Happy Pinteresting!***
It is that time of the year again!  What time you might ask?  Badger Homecoming time!  If you live in the Midwest, you know that fashion and football can be a little bit challenging.  Especially when it comes to staying warm during a cold football game.  It get especially difficult when Mother Nature pulls one of these on you:

Do you see today's temperature?  Do you see Saturday's?  Kind of a mean trick.  We couldn't fall somewhere in the middle so I could just throw on a hoodie with my jeans and go about my merry way, could we?  Oh well.  I'm looking for Pinterest this week to find some cute outfits to wear to a football game and to make sure that I am not freezing my butt off!  Here is what I have found so far.
Cute & Cozy, but I need a little more Badger in my outfit.

No way are these going to keep me warm, but they are really cute!

Loving this hoodie!

I wish I could actually bring this bag into the game.  It's too big per regulations.

And of course no game would be complete without my Badger Snuggie to keep me warm.

What cute things are you pinning and wearing to football game this fall?

Weekend Update: Badger Homecoming

What a whirlwind of a weekend!!!  It was a blast, but it unfortunately caused me catch a bit of a cold.  After a week of total insomnia last week, my body finally hit a brick wall.
But before that happened there was lots of fun!

Friday late afternoon, this beauty arrived.  For Free.  I love my Thirty-One job.  Freebie for doing my job = great start to the weekend!!!

Saturday was Homecoming in Madison.  We've started a great tradition of tailgating and going to the game with my Aunt & Uncle and a bunch of their friends.
They always have yummy tailgating treats.
My hubby found my awesome Badger hat in a box at the last minute before we left.  I was so grateful because it a cold day and this hat looks super cute!  Oh right and keeps me warm.  Hey, I have my priorities straight.
The Game.  Everyone played bad football. Wisconsin. Michigan State.  It was just bad. And we lost.  But Camp Randall and the sea of red always makes me happy.  Playing with the fun panorama mode on my iPhone is pretty fun too!
(For play by play action, follow me on Instagram @ktbreynolds)
Sunday involved a lot of sleep.  Which was good because I really needed it.  I know you are DYING to see photos of me sleeping, but that just ain't going to happen.  1). because I'm guessing I look pretty funny sleeping and b). because I may be a great multi-tasker but I'm not that great!
How were your weekends?  Do anything fun?
I hope your football teams did better than mine!

Photo Friday: Badger Red

Holy Crazy Week! I've been an insomniac all week and haven't taken that many photos. Between late nights at work this week and general exhaustion we haven't made much progress on the house. So this week's photo Friday is a short one.

I'm also experimenting with the Blogger app on my phone with this post so bear with me.

It is Homecoming in Madison this weekend. Buoy's Wisconsin sweater is still packed away so he is representing this weekend in stripes.

I have the best hubby in the world! He found my Badger hat so I won't freeze at the game and more importantly, I will look cute!

I will have more exciting things to share on Monday I hope! Have a great weekend everybody!

Weekend Update: Friends House Warming Party

I know I say this after every weekend, but man did this weekend go by fast!  And oops, in all of the fun, I forgot to take pictures.  Our garage still looks likes this:

But in my defense, it actually does look better.  We've sold most of that furniture pile (thank you Craigs List) so there is at least a walkway through the chaos.  A few more boxes got unpacked Saturday while I was watching the Badger game.  We got the Axe back!

From the Wisconsin Badgers Facebook Page

Saturday Night we headed up to Madison for our friends Mike and Jamie's house warming party.  Being in Madison is like going home for me.  It is where almost all of my best friends are and I am REALLY hoping (fingers crossed) that at some point in the next couple of years we might be able to move back there.  It's the 5 Years or Less Plan!  Anyway, the party was a blast!  Their new house is sooooo cute!  And they have everything unpacked and decorated, so I am in awe.  A typical night at their house usually means a 4:00am bedtime.  This weekend we went to bed early.  It was only 3:00am by the time we called it quits on Guitar Hero and went to bed.  Some weekends it just feels good to pretend you are back in college.  (Somehow this is the only picture I managed to take all weekend.0

Until morning arrives and you realize, you don't bounce back quite as well as you did at 19 21 (because of course we were all responsible college kids who did not touch a drop of alcohol until we were of legal age).

I slept the whole way back from Madison.  Thanks hubby for driving! You are the best!  Last night I was a waste of space.  This is pretty much what we all looked like.

I think I'm going to need a few good nights of sleep this week before doing it all over again next weekend!  How was your weekend?  Have a great week everybody!

Photo Friday: We Have Furniture!!!

I am a bad blogger.  I know I promised a Photo Friday post with house updates yesterday, but I ran out of time.  So it's a photo Friday on Saturday.  I am taking a break from unpacking more boxes to show you how our amazing new house is coming along. (PS - If you are watching the Badger game, YAY THEY ARE WINNING!!!)

We officially moved in a week ago.  AND WE LOVE IT!  I don't like leaving because I am so happy and content to just be at home.  If you follow me in real time on Instagram (@ktbreynolds), you've probably seen some of these.  If you don't, you should.  You are missing out. ;-)  This is what the move looked like:

Our garage looks better than it did a week ago, but there are still  A LOT of boxes to go.  It's going to be a few more months weeks (wishful thinking) before we are fully unpacked.  Our new furniture was delivered last Friday, the day before we moved in.  Check it out:

I love our dining room furniture!  I love how it pops off of our grey walls.  Me likey.

Our fabulous living room.  A huge thank you to my sister-in-law Steph for helping us pick out the furniture.  Steph has a magic touch for decorating.  She took it from being too match-matchy to looking designed.

Family Room

After a long day of moving on Saturday, we celebrated Saturday night with a little bit of bubbly.

Buoy has settled into his new house and new chair very nicely.

After 2 days of unpacking, we were able to bring our table into the eat in part of the kitchen and have friends over for dinner.  I was so excited to use our Waterford vase that was a wedding gift!  It's been like Christmas unpacking all of those boxes so thanks again to everyone!  We finally have room to unpack and start using all of our amazing gifts!

And there you have it!  We are slowly but surely settling in and unpacking boxes.
Have a great weekend!!!

Photo Friday: We Are Almost In!!!

In only 2 short days, we will be OFFICIALLY MOVED IN TO OUR NEW HOUSE!!!!!  It is crazy because it seems like forever since we closed.  In truth, it's only been about 2 months.  But that is a long time when it your first house and you can't wait to move in and enjoy it!

Some busy worker bees have been at the house this week getting things done.  And the results are outstanding!  For this week's Photo Friday, here are a few before and afters and some other things that have happened over at the house.  Wish us luck as we finish packing up a few last things the entire kitchen and the last odds and ends.  The movers arrive at 8:00am on Saturday morning!

Britt ripped out the ugly cabinet that was over the fireplace.  It looks SO MUCH BETTER!!

The floor in the dining room was leveled out.

The Painters Arrived.

We had some AMAZING results!!!  The Dining Room Before & After.

The Family Room Before & After.  It will be more dramatic once we have furniture in there.

Somehow we have no before pictures from the Master Bedroom.  But it was the same yellowish tan that was all over the rest of the house.  Check out the new color!  Soooo Excited.

(And I'm going off on a total tangent to tell you why.  My room at home in Miami is blue and white.  When we were decorating it (I think I was around 12) I desperately wanted blue walls.  But our entire house had white walls.  You can get away with all white in Florida. Anyway, I got told no way Jose.  I finally have blue walls. =)

Have a great weekend!!!

Pinterest Home Organization

I am so confused by what day it is this week.  Anyone else?  Yesterday I thought it was Tuesday most of the day.  So when I woke up this morning and realized it was Thursday, that was pretty exciting.  Even more exciting is that it is my Friday!  4 day work week, 4 day weekend and then another 4 day work week.  A-ok by me!  Why you might ask?  Well, if you have been hiding under a rock (or are a new reader) we are MOVING ON SATURDAY!  Into our new house!

We still have quite a bit of packing to do so I took tomorrow off of work to tackle the last few projects (aka the kitchen and cleaning our apartment) so that we will be ready to rock when the movers show up bright and early Saturday morning.

Aaaaanyway, I was going to write this post yesterday and link up over at The Vintage Apple for Oh How Pinteresting Wednesday.  But I guess here it will be an Oh How Pinteresting Thursday instead.  I know, I'm a total rebel.

I have been a Pinterest machine since we bought the house. Home Organization has always been a struggle for me.  I am making it a mission to get this house organized!  I know it isn't going to happen over night, but here are few of my favorite Pins to get me started.  Stay tuned to maybe actual see some of them happen!

Somewhere in our new house, I will have wrapping storage.
I am guessing this will end up in my office.

How simple and easy is this?

Spice rack on the top half of the backdoor of the pantry and maybe some extra storage bins before?

Such a cute idea of my make up brushes!

I am DYING to get some of these for our fridge.  Cute and so helpful for keeping it clean!
(Christmas?? Hint Hint)

I'll bet I could make under my sink look like this.  For at least a day or two.....

Liking what you see? I have tons more fun ideas on my Home Organization Board.

Wish us luck this weekend!  We need it!

Weekend Update: Packing and Moving

Unfortunately, there isn't a whole heck of a lot to report on from this weekend.  Fortunately, that means we got a lot done.  Pretty much the entire weekend was spent packing and moving boxes.  We got A LOT done, but we still have so much more to do.  It really is a never end process.  Here are a few snap shots of what our weekend looked like.

Fall Arrived.  This is "our tree" outside our apartment balcony finally changing.

Moving Makes a HUGE mess!!!

See?  Boxes and Thirty-One bags everywhere!

Somebody packed himself so he didn't get left behind.

I hope you all had a more exciting weekend than I did!  This week will be more of the same.  Packing and hauling as much stuff as we can, before the movers come on Saturday!  All I have to say is thank goodness we both took Friday off to get more stuff done!  Have a great week!

Photo Friday: House Update

Two posts in one day!  Can you believe it!?!??!  I'm trying to make for being too quiet the last 10 days or so.  And I'm trying to earn brownie points ahead of time because I have a feeling the next two weeks are going to be sporadic at best between packing, moving and unpacking.  =) Yes I'm a suck up.

We have an official move date.  Next Saturday, the movers are coming!  Eek.  Considering the painters haven't started yet and two rooms don't have floors, this will be a little bit tighter timeline than I would like.  But oh well.

Here are some photos to catch you all up on what has been going on over at our new house!  PS - these are not the world's best photos, but they give you an idea!

New Carpet Installation!

Our Living Room & Dining Room after the carpet has been removed.  The hardwood is going to be finished in these rooms this week.

The Pile of Carpet to be Thrown Out

The Basement: New Carpet

The Basement: With Furniture (thanks to the in-laws) & Our New Treadmill
And yes that is my husband dead on the couch.  He had a big day moving stuff.

In the finished part of the basement, was a room being used as the world's smallest office.  I turned it into my off-season walk in closet.  And by I, I mean, my hubby did all of the work installing it.  Thanks Hubby!

We put off choosing a color for the Master Bedroom until the last minute.
We are going to eventually get new furniture and a bigger bed (someone named Buoy takes up a shocking amount of room), which means new bedding.

Basically at this point we have no idea what color scheme we are going to go with.  But we chose a color.  It's the second in from the right corner.  It is more gray than it looks in the photo.

And because it wouldn't be a photo Friday with a new pics of the bed-hog, here you go!

Running around his backyard.  Or panting post romp.

He got hot and wanted in the big pool.  But it is kind of green right now.  (Don't judge. We've been busy.)  So he got his kiddie pool filled instead.

Surveying his kingdom.  Rabbits beware.

Phew ok.  Hopefully this makes up for my lack of Photo Friday last week!

Have a great weekend everybody!
