Photo Friday: House Update

Holy Moly.  Life is moving at about a million miles an hour right now.  I feel like I'm struggling just to keep my head above water.  We haven't moved yet, and we still have A TON of packing to do.  Thanks to my hubby and his iPhone, I have a few photos to share with you today on what has been going on at the house.

Our new house is "move in ready."  Unless you happen to be allergic to cats.  Which I am.  I can't be in the house for more than 10-15 at a time without my allergies acting up.  Especially in the basement where the food and litter box lived.  I have a very good amazing hubby.  He loves me enough to do work over at the house without my help.  Because I would be a stuffy, sneezy, watery-eyed mess if I tried to help with these projects.  He has been hard at work pulling up the cat-hair infested carpet in our basement and painting it with Kilz primer to get rid of the last of the cat, so I can actually exist in the basement.

Since we have another month on our lease, we are also taking this opportunity to re-paint the inside of the house.  Because as much as I LOVE the color pink, I am not a fan of the 2 bedrooms we have that are pink and purple.  (Photos to follow in another post.)

So on this Photo Friday, enjoy some photo updates from a tiny part of the tornado that is going on in our life right now.

Testing out paint colors on our living room and dining room walls.

Top of the stairs leading down to the basement.

Carpet pulled off the stairs leading down to the basement.  Turn left at the bottom for the laundry room/storage area.  Turn right for the finished section.

After all of the carpet had been pulled up in the basement and the floor had been painted with Kilz.

Our storage area post-Kilz paint.

Our soon to be laundry area - post Kilz.

Proof of all of my hubby's hard work.

The pile of carpet, carpet padding and paint the previous-owners left for us are currently occupying our garage.  I have the best hubby in the world.

Do you have any major house projects going on?  Happy Friday and have a great weekend!!

Oh ps - Kilz hasn't given me anything to write this post.  I am just eternally grateful to them for making the cat smell go away!!!!
